Something that is a problem world wide; counterfeit money. A while back I had read an article about an engineering student in Bangalore who was working on an cell phone app that would help detect Counterfeit bills. This got me wondering what bits of tech or software was available to help the common man avoid the bogus buck. With I-phones and androids creating a gold rush for developers I wondered “Is there was an app for that?”

After spending a day search I didn’t find any android apps and only one I-phone app for counterfeit detection. The app turns out to be a fake it’s self.
