False ban by pintrest
One of the objectives for the other site is to get a presents set up on Pinterest. An account just for that other website was set up. Was registered as a business. The Particular project Was initially banned, Because of an oversight on my part. When I corrected my mistake and appealed Pinterest lifted that band. No fuss piece of cake Moved on with the project. After the initial setup some time had with nothing happening , We invested in service to help get Pinterest streamed lined, and make sure we are properly marketing our site. Several hours were spent on custom graphics for the pins. I managed 8 items linking back the site. The following day when I went to add more pins every attempt was denied, With a message reading this site has been reported for spam. Initially I didn’t panic, I wasn’t too worried about. After all I had already gone through the appeals process and it seemed to work pretty smoothly. So I appeal. And the next day I received an email saying that the appeal was denied. If I wanted more information click on the link in the email and it would explain what it was that I had done wrong. Why our Website was marked as spam. Clicked on the link Read over all of the terms of service all of the rules. And I could not find any reason for them to mark our website as spam. So I appealed specifically asking if they could explain what the exact cause for the website being marked to spam. Next d same exact email Same link no additional information An appeal was rejected.
This pretty much repeated for the next month and a half. Over the course of that time I experimented with changing settings changing names anything I could think of that might change the outcome. When looking for various contact information to find a way to get Clarification. Nothing worked. The group that we hired to consult on Pinterest marketing gave us the advice of every three days over and over again. That was probably another half month of just appealing over and over and over again. I very quickly figured out I could appeal about three times a day and get the same reply. The rejection would arrive within less than an hour. And I found that very telling. Because the appeal was being rejected so quickly it led me to the conclusion that they were using AI. So called AI. A human being wasn’t actually seeing the appeal, and nothing about the appeal process ever triggered human review. Because there was no other mechanism available to me a Pinterest user and a potential paying client for Pinterest. I was stuck. Pinterest as a service ceased to be of any value to me.
the only reason why we’re not still banned is because we had hired that service to help us set up marketing on Pinterest. They had contact with a person at Pinterest. so they could bring up the issue to an actual human being. Only with human interaction was the issue resolved. Once a living person at Pinterest was notified of the issue, the appeals loop broke they were able to manually go and make some change that allowed us to use Pinterest again. If it wasn’t for that 3rd party having to an employee available at Pinterest our problem never would have been solved.
This is not just a problem with Pinterest, This is something that has happened several individuals on Youtube they get blocked or banned with no explanation why The appeals process doesn’t

go anywhere They’re never told what they did to get banned they’re never told what to do to correct the band Just appeal after appeal after appeal and nothing ever gets done. This has also been true for Twitch People who have done nothing wrong at Twitch get banned with no explanation and the appeals process doesn’t go anywhere. Of course these are just examples that I know of I don’t talk to anyone that regularly does anything with X or Twitter, I don’t know anyone that does anything on Tik Tok, I do know people who’ve been blocked from Facebook but they earned it. But I’m willing it’s probably true with anything that meta does whether it’s Facebook Instagram thread there’s a high chance that someone has been blocked for no reason. And because a human is not interacting with the end users innocent people are losing their accounts for no reason.
I don’t have any solution to offer, This is just an observation of a problem I had. And I’m curious anyone that reads this. Do you have a similar story Did you have a solution, Feel free to share I would love to know if there’s a better way of handling this. Or if solution that anyone can utilize without lucking access to an employee at a social media company.
